Playback issues mostly occur because of internet speed. If the file is large and the internet is slow, the file will take a bit to load before playing.
TIP: Try pausing the video for a bit to allow the video to fully load before previewing.

Video added to your storage vault does not automatically show up on pitches. Your storage vault is like a closet, and your link is what you choose to wear that day. Once your clip added to storage be sure to add it your saved links and adjust correct order.

To create a pitch, click on the "Pitches" tab at the top left. Click on the "Add" button in the respective section you wish to make a pitch, and a new window will pop up. You can then name your pitch and add videos and photos.

To download any material, you will need to go to one of your pitch links. Click on the “Pitches” tab at the top right, then click the “More” tab next to the pitch that has the material you wish to download. Click “Preview.” On your pitch, click the blue disc button under the “Save” column to the right of the clip name you wish to download. You can also download your resume, biography, press, and photos by clicking on the respective tab on the pitch, then clicking “Download” at the top right.

The ActivePitch uploader supports most video format; however, the prefered format is QuickTime (Compression H.264). For the most ideal video settings, set the data rate to 5,000 KBPS when exporting the clip from your editing software. The maximum file size that can be uploaded to ActivePitch is 1GB.

If you make a pitch under the “Team” section, the link will automatically be emailed to all of the representatives linked to your account. If your representatives log in, they can also edit a Team Pitch (remove/add video, photos, etc.). You will receive an email notifying you of any changes made to a Team Pitch at 5:00PM on the day the change was made.
NOTE: contact information on a team pitch cannot be edited.

To change your credit card information, click on the “Me” tab at the top right, then click on “Storage Plans” from the drop-down menu. You can then enter in your credit card details and click “Save” at the top right of the box.

Yes, all material has the ability to be downloaded from any pitch you send out. Your resume, biography, photos, and press pieces will always be downloadable, but you have the choice to turn off the option for videos.

To make a clip downloadable, click on the “Storage” tab at the top left, then click “Videos” from the drop-down menu. From there, click on the “More” tab to the left of the clip name you wish to make downloadable. Click “Edit Details” from the drop-down menu. On the window that appears, check the box that says “Downloadable” (underneath the clip information). Click “Save” at the top right.

No, there is currently not an option to turn off the autoplay feature. Once the link is opened, the video first clip will play automatically. After the clip is finished playing, the next clip will automatically begin to play.

Links are broken for two reasons. The first reason is that the credit card on file declined for the monthly payment, and the account has been turned off. You can put in a new card to reactivate it. The second reason is that the link has been deleted. If you are using a link that you didn’t create yourself, the other party might have deleted the link from their account.

This is most likely a caching issue. Your cache stores visual information on websites in order for it to load faster after your initial visit. If you update your resume or a company logo and the change isn’t reflecting on your link, you may need to clear your cache. You can find this option in your browser settings (or email us at info@activepitch.com for step-by-step instructions).

No, you cannot currently embed the links into other sites.

Creating Pitches

To create a pitch, click on the "Pitches" tab at the top left. Click on the "Add" button in the respective section you wish to make a pitch, and a new window will pop up. You can then name your pitch and add videos and photos.

To add any material to a link, click on the “Pitches” tab at the top right, then click the “More” tab next to the pitch name you wish to add material to. Click “Edit” from the drop down menu, and a new window will appear. To have your resume, biography, and press show up on your link, make sure these boxes are checked (under the “Settings” tab).

After you have created a pitch, you should see the pitch name on your “Pitches” page. To get the link, click on the button that looks like a chain link to the right of the clip description. Once you click on the button, your link will appear with the words “Copy” next to it. Click “Copy” to copy the link, which you can then paste onto another page.

By checking the “Vanity Link” box, you will turn the URL into www.activepitch.com/firstnamelastname. Please note that this can only be applied to one link.

No, the pitch description is for your reference only. It only appears in your account, so you are able to tell the difference between your pitches.

If you want your projects to appear in a folder on your link, click on this option and fill out the information. Sometimes clients will make "Comedy" or "Drama" folders; other times they will put all of their clips from one show into a folder to make the page look cleaner.

If you create a pitch under the “Private” section, only you will have access to view or edit this link. The only way someone can see this pitch is if you either send them the pitch directly from the site, or if you send them the URL to the pitch directly.

If you create a pitch in the "Private" section, then only you will see that link and have access to it (until you send it out). If you make a link in the "Team" section, the link will be automatically sent to your representation (that are connected to your account). Your representatives will have the option to edit this link as well. If they do make adjustments to the link, you will receive a report at 5:00PM on the day it was edited.

No, if a link is created in the “Private” section of an account, that link will only show up in that person’s account. The only time you are able to see what links your representation makes is if they create a “Team Pitch”.

To reorder your clips on a link, click the “Pitches” tab at the top left. Then, click on the “More” tab next to the name of the pitch you would like to edit and click “Edit”. Next, click on the “Videos” tab and use the drag and drop icon to reorder the clips. Click “Save” when finished.

Sending Pitches

To send a pitch directly from ActivePitch, click on the “Pitches” tab at the top left. To the right of the link information, you will see a blue button that says “Send Pitch.”

You will receive an email notification once the third party has opened the link to your pitch. You will also be able to find a copy of the pitch you sent in the “Viewed” section underneath the “History” header at the top left of your ActivePitch account. If the pitch has not been viewed, it will appear under the “Sent” section in the “History” header.

Instead of clicking “Send Now” at the top right of the pitch, click “Save to Drafts.” Your drafts are saved under the “History” tab at the top left. To finish sending the pitch, click “Resend Pitch.”

To see the pitches you have sent, click on the “History” tab at the top left. If the pitch has been viewed, it will appear under the “Viewed” section. If it hasn’t been viewed, it will be under the “Sent” section. After you have found your pitch, click on the “More” tab on the left, then click “Duplicate.” You can now resend the pitch to a new party.

Media Storage

The ActivePitch uploader supports most video format; however, the prefered format is QuickTime (Compression H.264). For the most ideal video settings, set the data rate to 5,000 KBPS when exporting the clip from your editing software. The maximum file size that can be uploaded to ActivePitch is 1GB.

Video added to your storage vault does not automatically show up on pitches. Your storage vault is like a closet, and your link is what you choose to wear that day. Once your clip added to storage be sure to add it your saved links and adjust correct order.

Enter in the name of the clip or photo on the window that appears, then click “Select File To Upload” and find the file on your computer. Once the file is finished uploading, the window will automatically close.

To add a resume, click on the “Storage” tab at the top left, then click on “Resume.” From here, you can either upload a resume (.doc or .pdf), or you can enter the credits in one by one. If you do enter in the credits, you can reorder them at any time.

To add your biography, click on the “Storage” tab at the top left, then click on “Biography.” From there, you can copy and paste your biography text into the space provided, then click on “Save” at the top right.

To add press pieces, click on the “Storage” tab at the top left, then click on “Press.” You have two options regarding the display. You can either upload all of your pieces into one album, or you can create multiple albums to break the pieces up (according to publications, categories, etc.). To create a new album, click the blue “Create New Album” button at the top left, then name the album. From there, you can click the blue “Add” button to upload press. You can upload multiple-page files, as our system will break them out per page.

No, you cannot add videos to the press section. The only files that can be uploaded into this section are PDFs, JPEGs, GIFs, etc. What you can do is create a folder (see above) labeled “Press” and put your videos in there if you wish to place your press clips in a different section.

To edit clip information, go to your storage vault and click the “More” tab to the left of the clip name you wish to edit. Click “Edit Details” from the drop-down menu. You can edit the clip name, type, credit, director, and company. You can also make the clip downloadable by checking the box underneath the clip information.

To change your account photo, click on the “Storage” tab at the top left, then click on “Photos.” From there, click on the “More” tab next to the photo you wish to change your main photo to. Click “Edit” from the drop down menu. Check the box that reads “Make Main Photo” and click “Save” at the top right.

No, the clips default to alphabetical order and cannot be reordered.

Representation Tools

After logging in to your account, click on the “Me” tab at the top right of your page. Then, click on “Representation” from the drop-down menu. On the next page, click the blue “Add” button, then fill out the appropriate information. After we have verified the connection, your representatives will be added to your account.

No, your representation does not need your personal username and password. Representatives have their own accounts with separate log-in details, and have the ability to link to multiple actors.

If your representatives do not want to log in, you can create a Team Pitch. A Team Pitch is a link that will automatically send (via email) to your representatives with their own company logo on the page. They can then copy and paste the link into an email to send to a third party.

When actors are linked to a representative, all of the representatives in that company have the ability to see their media and send pitches for them. However, the other representatives do not have permission to edit media - only the representative actually linked to their account (and who shows up in their “Contact Information” tab) have those permissions.
